Crochet Time

-

WooHoo, celebrating the Milwaukee Brewers sweeping the LA Dodgers in the NL Championship Series. On to the World Series starting next Friday.

Lots of games means lots of crochet time. Keeps my hands busy and also keeps me from nervous eating. I can say the same thing about working during Packer games. The current blanket I just started on Sunday and I am almost done!

This blanket yarn is Plum Majesty from Herrschnerrs type is Specks. So basically one color with flecks of other complementary colors. This is what I would call lilac with bits of purple here and there.

Happy Weekend!

Lovely purples; am a fan of speckled yarn, and many of my clothes are have a flecked coloration.

That's a beautiful blanket! I so wish I knew how to crochet.

If I don't keep my hands busy while I watch television, I will bite my nails down to little stubs!

It is Friday and in the liturgical calendar it is Good Friday. The Friday before Easter Sunday. Growing up this always meant church service in the afternoon, usually a long service with communion.  Dobby is doing well, I can't believe how quickly he has settled in and how comfortable he seems to be from his first days here. He will see the vet next week, so we will see what she says about him.  Doing his loaf impression on the bed.  Neon Lights from Big Twist. Nice bright primary colors.     This is actually my closet at the end of March. It is rather empty at the moment but I want to wait to buy when the company has a promo where they have a special on shipping for a set price for the entire order. Otherwise the cost of shipping is 10 percent of the value of the order and I plan to buy lots of yarn. I want to finish using the final three yarns on the right side.  Happy Weekend.  Happy Easter.

Wonderful Wordy Wednesday

As I work on this post it is before the Brewer's baseball game tonight. So don't know if they won or lost, but they only need one more win to move to the next round. EDITED WED AM - they lost, play again Wednesday PM.  Also, one month to election day. I am so tired of all of the ads and I am trying to watch minimal TV or record things so I can fast forward through the ads.  Just getting over a bad upper respiratory thing. Less coughing and sneezing and I am starting to get good sleep. Still have sinus draining.   Wonderful weather, windows open!  Isola - historical fiction based upon the actual person of Marguerite de la Rocque de Roberval. An heiress orphaned at a young age, her guardian spends her inheritance, takes her to New France (Canada) and abandons her when she develops a relationship with his man servant. She eventually makes her way back home, gaining the respect of the Queen of France.  Furious Minds - didn't completely read this book. Outline...

Baseball playoffs are in full swing, so getting lots of crochet done. Not watching every game, but enough. Milwaukee Brewer's start play on Saturday. So far the teams I would like to move on are moving on and a bit happy that the Chicago Cubs are going home.   Dealing with a hacky cough, don't feel super bad, but sound terrible. When I have been out in public I have been wearing a mask so I don't cough on people. Staying home a lot too. Sleeping better the past few days to that helps. Plus my raspy voice is healing too.  Next blanket is made with color Rainy Day from Herrschnerrs. Fitting, having lots of rainy days this week.    Happy weekend.
