State of the Stash
Once I finished my last lap robe the yarn stash was down to bare minimum. I had decided to make an order with Herrschnerr's as they have a nice variety of yarn colors and at decent prices. Only thing is that shipping costs add up. The catalog said it would be 10% of the order. I know that periodically they do shipping specials. So I wait until I get a good one!
The items on the left are colors that I have already done a blanket in these colors in the past year. Or a few items that are for me to make winter hats for me. There are colors for four different blankets, plus two large skeins of neutrals to use as needed when making hats.
Dobby got a boost up to a shelf so he could look around.
We both survived his vet trip this week on Wednesday. He again didn't want to get into the carrier even with bribes. I did corral him and get him in, then called as I was driving to the office to let them know I might be a few minutes late. I arrived 3 minutes late, not bad for late afternoon traffic levels.
Still has a bit of the yeast infection in his ears but it is less than it was. They cleaned his ears out again and I am continuing to put medication into his ears twice a day. Or getting it in as best I can. Even if we can't totally get rid of this it shouldn't cause him any long term damage.
Since he wants to be a wild child with the carrier I do have some gabapentin pills to dose him with for future visits. This pill is a mild sedative. Hopefully this will help the next time.
Hoping for a nice weekend to chill and do fun things.
Waiting for a deal or sale makes good sense, for your stockpile of yarn.

As for corralling a reluctant cat in the carrier, if I had three arms, I could video how I manage to get Henry stuffed in his PTU.

I'm glad to have gabapentin for Beignet. She certainly wouldn't get into a carrier without it!
